Introduction

The kno.e.sis opensource initiative is an attempt to support the evolving standards and specifications in Semantic Web Services with opensource implementations. In keeping with our research philosophy of evolving with the standards, we extend the existing opensource WS-* implementations to support and benefit from the semantics that are now available. The open source software listed here are an outcome of our research in the area of Semantic Web, SOA and Semantic Web Services.

Projects
  • SEMRE: We are currently working on a semantic services registry that supports discovery and publication of services described in SAWSDL. The SEMRE registry is built on top of jUDDI. jUDDI is a popular open source java implementation of the UDDI standard.
  • SAWSDL4J: a clean object model for handling SAWSDL. The source and the binaries for these projects can be downloaded from the links on the left. The software is available for use under the apache license.
  • Radiant: Eclipse plugin for adding semantic annotations to WSDL
