Ajith Ranabahu is a third year PhD student in Computer Science at the Kno.e.sis Center at Wright State University (WSU). He previously joined LSDIS lab at Computer Science Department of the University of Georgia and moved to WSU in 2007. Ajith is primarily a researcher in the field of service science and has an extensive background in Web Services due to his work in the Apache Web services project.
Ajith Works at the Knoesis Center With professor Amit P Sheth focusing primarily on research related to Services. More details about Ajith's research interests are available in the Research page.

Ajith interned at IBM Almaden research center in the summer of 2007, working with Dr. Michael Maximillien and produced two successful submissions to IBM Alphaworks, IBM's portal for emerging technologies. He is one of the major contributors to IBM Sharable code and IBM Web highlights projects.

His last internship at IBM Almaden research center in the summer of 2009, also with Dr. Michael Maximillien, focused on Cloud computing middleware and led to the completion of the IBM Altocumulus platform, A platform that facilitates unified deployment and management of cloud computing services.

Before becoming a student, Ajith worked as a full time software engineer at WSO2, a different breed of a software company that believes in Opensource. He contributed primarily to the Apache Axis2 project and also helped to build the flagship product of WSO2 - The WSO2 Web Services Application Server.
