Long story short: I am a PhD Student at Kno.e.sis, Wright State University. I have worked as an intern at Yahoo! Search in 2008 (California) and Yahoo! Research in 2009 (Barcelona). This summer I'm going to work with Chris Bizer at the Freie Universitat Berlin. I have experience with 'Web stuff' (semantic, linked data, 2.0, ...), Text Mining and Bioinformatics. Lately I've been putting a lot of time into Statistical Machine Learning and Cloud Computing (Map Reduce).

Personal

I was born in Minas Gerais and grew up around Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I love music in general and play the guitar, electric bass and samba percussion. My favorite sports are: Capoeira, Soccer and Volleyball.

Ph.D. Student at the Knoesis Center @ Computer Science and Engineering under the advisement of Amit Sheth. Currently working with: Information Extraction and Complex Querying in Bioinformatics
