- Semantic Sensor Web
Effective automation of sensor data
fusion requires ability to translate heterogeneous sensor data into a
common format, to register data accurately within a common spatiotemporal reference frame,
and to identify and associate cross-modal phenomenal attributes. To accomplish this task, Semantic Sensor Web is
extending state-of-the-art sensor data representation languages, SensorML and TransducerML, to integrate semantic
associations into sensor models

"Find dams in the state of
Ohio"
If the knowledge base contains information about the
dams at the level of counties, there is a mismatch between the query constraints and the available information. We believe
the issue of mismatch can be addressed by aggregating source spatial objects to form complex spatial objects
using logical relationships such as partonomy, aggregation etc.We try to harness these
logical relationships in re-writing queries to address such mismatches.A related challenge is to keep this query
re-writing framework domain independent with little or no modification in
the basic framework.
