I am a doctoral candidate in Computer Science at the Ohio Center of Excellence in Knowledge-enabled Computing (Kno.e.sis) at Wright State University. I initially joined the Large Scale Distributed Information Systems (LSDIS) lab at Computer Science Department of the University of Georgia and moved to Wright State University in 2007.

My primary research is at the Kno.e.sis Center with professor Amit P Sheth, focusing on application and data portability aspects in cloud computing. More details about my research activities are available in the Research page.

I did an internship at IBM Almaden research center in the summer of 2007, working with Dr. Michael Maximillien and produced two successful submissions to IBM Alphaworks, IBM's portal for emerging technologies. These submissions, namely IBM Sharable code and IBM Web highlights were the primary motivators for me to explore the use of Domain Specific Languages (DSL).

My second internship at IBM Almaden research center in the summer of 2009, also with Dr. Michael Maximillien, focused on Cloud computing middleware. I made significant contributions to successfully complete the IBM Altocumulus platform, A middleware platform that facilitates unified deployment and management of cloud computing services. Altocumulus has been one of the key influences in the new IBM product, IBM Workload Deployer (IWD).

Before pursuing my PhD, I worked as a professional software engineer. My last workplace was WSO2, a pioneer in open source, service-oriented software and related services. Prior and during my time in WSO2, I made significant contributions (in design, implementation and documentation) to Apache Axis2 project and a number of other related open source software projects.
